Well, I'm not really a fan of the character or design but I didn't come up with the concept so it's fan art. Anyway, this is something I'm doing very quickly for a group of folks at another forum. Once I have the basic mesh done I'll be uploading it for them to finish off as a practice/challenge for them. I'll probably post a link to the OBJ here too. The arms/shoulders are not really animation friendly FYI.

last one for now. As you can see, I did deviate from the concept a bit. There was comments on the other board that the shoes in the concept were weird.

I should also mention that her clothes are her body - in other words, I did not take the classic Poser approach to modeling her (ie. nude, with clothing as separate items).

 Sweet, Teyon :)

Is this for a game?  IMO, that's really the logical way to build for gaming purposes, especially if the clothing isn't going to be changed or really move.  It would keep the polycount down because there aren't any there that are covered by the clothes,

Lookin' good :)

Thanks gang. I took the game modeling approach to clothing mostly to save me time. I'm in the middle of two different projects for SM right now and hardly have time for personal modeling the way I normally do it. Seemed like the logical next step. Had I planned better though, her shoulders and elbows would be more animation friendly but that's what happens when you rush. I should be getting back to her tomorrow night or early morning (depends if I sleep today).  Will post when she's done.

I rendered it in Modo. I also did a series of renders in ZBrush just for fun...

JurgenDoe ( ) posted Sun, 29 August 2010 at 2:02 PM

Don't have both :O   Can I do it in C4D too :eager:

Sure. C4D has a great render engine. You should be able to get some nice renders out of it.
