any of those? I have searched the free stuff, shareCG, freestuff at RDNA and checked whatever3d....does anyone know where one may be...preferably free and allowing commercial use

If you're on Poser 8 or PoserPro 2010, have a look in the Poser 8 Content / Props / CP Partners / Dimension 3D folder. There's a 'cane' item in there which should be easily modifiable to meet your needs.
