Subject: Making the horse graze

TinyLady ( ) posted Thu, 26 April 2001 at 4:05 AM · edited Fri, 02 August 2024 at 8:59 AM

Has anyone been able to make the horse eat/drink from the ground and still look like a horse? I can't make the head reach the ground with out the chest of the horse turning into an accordion. Help! Eva

LOL@accordian. I have tried to do this with the horse aswell, looks like a morph or something would be needed for this one, only thing is it might stretch the texture a bit. I would have a go at this myself but I haven't been feeling the best lately and don't have the energy to spend that kind of time on it. But if you find the solution before I get around to it, let me know. I would love to achieve the grazing horse aswell.

it might be a combination of bending of various parts.. I haven't tried it yet.. as most of my horses are either fighting, fleeing of kissing.. 8 ) Cheers

heyas; i've been able to do this with a slight adjustment to the lower neck jp's. (on the regular horse, haven't tried the charger, yet.) hmmm... now i suppose i'll have to upload that? :)

Well of course you will! lol And you know you would be appreciated. 8^) Marque

Hmm... I will have to learn more about Poser for sure. So far I've only used the "normal" controls bending the lower and upp neck. The 'JP's' - is that the joints of the object? Haven't even been into that section yet. I'll try again. Thanks for all responses! Eva

allrighty marque, if you insist. eva; normally, you shouldnt have to mess with jp's; the figures should move properly. the horse's neck just needed a little tweaking. also remember when you bend a horse down to graze/drink, they lean forward, so you need to tilt the chest down some, too. it's not all neck action, there.

Didn't think of that. (..what did I ever learn being around horses...) BTW, I've been trying to locate your "adjustable" saddle but can't find a download place anywhere. The girls who use our game are very particular about details so I can't have the stirrups dangling around everywhere, and such. It just have to look "real". Give me a hint where it may be? I'll be gone a couple of days, then I get back on the grazing horse. :o) Eva
