Quote - They're There Their?

Should there be some commas in that ?

Replicant ( ) posted Fri, 24 September 2010 at 6:25 PM

Indeedy. Properly placed commas and correct capitalisation can be vital.

For example:

"I helped my friend jack off his horse." This is likely to earn you an unwarranted reputation.

"I helped my friend, Jack, off his horse." on the other hand will only earn you a 'Thank-you' and possibly a sugar lump.

Jack mounted his horse and rode hard. "Wow," he ejaculated* as he got off,  "great ride!"

I  highly recommended Free Rice. Fun and helps the proverbial good cause.

I'm up to level 27.  I'll take a break and work on it again tomorrow.

I hit 50 once for a few seconds. Mostly it's in the 40s somewhere. A lot of it for me is guessing based on the word's roots or endings. If I'm totally stumped, I pick the plant or animal if one is in the list :-)
