Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 13 3:34 pm)
Is there a skull cap available for the kids? If so, you could add a noise node as displacement and get stubble that way.
If there's no skull cap (I've never really used the kids) you could select the necessary polygons with the grouping tool and make a new material zone -then apply the displacement to that.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.
Grappo2000, I'm using Daz's Kids 4. I couldn't find a skullcap for the kids.
TrekkieGrrrl, I've never had to modify something like this in poser, but I get the basic idea of what each of you are saying. Just have to figure out the steps. Perhaps if I could find a tutorial, or even a couple of screencaps might be enough to point me in the right direction?
Many thanks
MM
Here's a BagginsBill tutorial on underarm stubble that should be the ticket-note that IIRC there is a render of pubic hair done using a similar technique, so possible Nudity warning...

I'm using PP2010. I've given this kid a makeshift Mohawk by using a full basic conforming hairstyle (legacy James I think), and "trans"ing in the sides so only the top middle was left. Probably a lame way to do it but hey, I am kinda new at this. :-)
My question is, how can I fix the bald areas so they don't look completely shaven smooth. I'd like to see some short stubb as opposed to shiny baldness. I saw and tried follicle and skull caps in the library, but I really don't have a clue if that's the answer or if so, even how to use and adjust them.
(Btw, I'm trying to stay away from "dynamic" hair if possible in order to lower PC strain, so if it can be done otherwise somehow with conforming, that would be better.)
Would appreciate any suggestions, thank you!
