Subject: When using Carrara's 3D paint, can one constrain the cursor to V or H?

Hi guys, I'm trying to paint (using 3d Paint in the assembly room) a straight line horizontally across a vertical cylinder and I'm doing about as nice of a job as painting a trim around the top of a wall (meaning it slops all over the place).  Is there a constrain function that I can use to lock the cursor either in the horizontal or vertical mode?  Jan

In 3D painting there are no constraint properties. For precision like that, it would be best to open up the texture map in a paint program, do the constrained work, and then re-import it back into Carrara for the organic painting.

Thanks Mark, I was afraid of that--Jan

You can use the line tool and constrain that to horizontal or vertical using "Ctrl" or at least I think it is the  "ctrl" key.
