Subject: Advice?

What I need help with: The only scanner I have access to has hiccups! I'm afraid I can't remember what type of scanner it is (except that it's a Hewlett Packard one)...but when it is plugged in, it goes 'click' 'click' 'click' and the light sort of flashes, and it is impossible to load the software (HP PrecisionScan whateverit'scalled) as it just stops responding while the scanner goes hiccup hiccup hiccup. We tried reinstalling the scanner, but no luck, it still doesn't love us. Can anybody give any advice on what to do with scanners that just won't work, has anybody experienced the same problem? Is there a simple way of fixing this that we don't know about? I have so much new material to share, but no scanner now. I haven't posted anything new here for AGES even though I've got some 20 photos that need scanning. Oh yeah - and I have some advice to GIVE as well. Never have a double strength cup of coffee, an Espresso bean chocolate bar, 750ml of Coke and a whole pack of Oreo cookies before bedtime.....actualy a whole pack of Oreos minus one...and the last Oreo looks so lonely. munch But I guess that's fairly obvious to everyone except me. ~M~Floating~In~Caffeine~Heaven~
