Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 15 11:01 am)
I'm fairly sure it should be possible to make foot cameras. I've been looking at the structure of the hand cameras but so far without success - one of the Poser internals gurus like lesbentley or ockham might have an opinion. I agree this would be a useful thing to have. I generally end up devoting my posing camera to looking at the feet when I need to see them close-up.
The hand (as well as the pose, and head) cameras have a little "magic", in that the follow the figure selection, i.e. when the figure changes the camera changes it's parenting to the correct (if there is one) body part on the new figure.
Any foot camera you make by parenting a new camera to one of the current figure's feet wouldn't have this "magic".
I suspect that this isn't really that important, but you should be aware of it.
I tried this a while ago for the same reasons. Didn't have much luck either.
Trying parenting it, using "point at", using dummy objects parented to a foot and having the camera follow that. Pretty much everything I could think of. What I ended up with by doing that wasn't exactly bad, but no better than using the pose camera and not worth all the effort.
I think the only thing I really got out of it was a scene with a bunch of extra cameras I couldn't delete. ;-)
By the way, why can't you delete cameras that you've added? Doesn't make any sense unless I'm missing something.

So if there is a Face Cam, and cams for the right and left hand, why are there no right and left foot cameras? Cameras like those would make posing the feet and fitting boots or shoes on characters so much easier.
