Subject: Problems with Poser Pro 2010

Vege-Mite ( ) posted Fri, 22 October 2010 at 8:49 AM · edited Wed, 08 January 2025 at 4:18 PM

I've had Poser Pro 2010 right from when it was first released and I'm only just now having problems with the Library Window not showing up after closing Poser and then re opening it. The only sure way of fixing it, is  to reboot my PC. Also reopening the library window from the 'window' menue is a hit and miss affair. I'm running Windows XP Professional 64 Bit. Has anybody else had this problem and solved it?

I'm also running WinXP 64 (afraid to upgrade).  I haven't had problems you described, but I installed it to it's own folder on a separate disk and did not elect the option to include the 32 bit files (I thought it might get confused... who knows?).

Hi Vege-Mite.

I am having the same problems you are. The only way I can get it to work is to turn off my virus software while PoserPro comes on then turn the virus software back on.

Very annoying. This is not an intelligent way to have a software library. I had a post earlier where BB said it might be something to do with Poser and air trying to update.

I never got a reply as to how to do that.

Luckily I have Dimension3d's XL library from Content Paradise that works just fine.

Hope this helps.

Hi VegeMite,

My virus software was updated today. Now the only way I can addess my library is to turn it off when using PoserPro2010.

They changed the post editor and haven't quite got the configuration right yet.

Hi Lululee,

Getting Dimension 3D XL has solved my Library problem. Thanks so much for the advice.  :-)

Seems like NRuddock likes the new html feature as well. Of ocurse, it is a bit awkward to have to type <br> at the end of lines, but for now, it seems to work.

And  if you want a more sophisticated libraires manager ,with more possibilities than Xl Dimension, try  Shaderworks Library manager at RDNA (http://www.runtimedna.com/) a very good one also

I like the shaderworks library because I can load, conform and magnetize  bunch of clothes all at one, but sometimes I also like my poser library.

It used to work.  this is a fairly new problem where it suddenly goes white.

It reverses to normal if I click on the materials room and then back to the pose room, but the problem still recurs.

I am on a mac.
