Subject: Poser 7 quickie

I have just purchased Poser 7, can't afford 8 just yet...but WOW! Still pretty new to 3D. I started with DAZ and cannot believe how much better my first Render was with Firefly vs anything I have ever done with DAZ.

I'm working my way around the manual but sometimes its just quicker to post on here...

The problem I am having is; When I have posed my figure and need to make adjustments to the thighs. . the leg won't move, its as if the foot is locked to the floor.  Is there some kind of lock I need to remove?

Thanks!

Yep that ye olde default state for inverse kinematics gets new folks everytime (me too).  Under the figure drop down menu, click on USE INVERSE KINEMATICS and uncheck both legs.  Jan

Or move the foot directly although it's usually easier to turn off IK

Thanks for that guys, ok...I can now bend the thighs and calves, but when I try and rotate or move the figure as a whole, only the torso moves leaving the whole bottom half behind. WOOPS!...what did i do?

Thanks

Sounds like you are moving the hip - try selecting the body and moving that
