Subject: 3D Max to Poser 5

SDG ( ) posted Thu, 28 October 2010 at 3:40 AM · edited Sat, 18 January 2025 at 2:40 AM

I am working on a program for road safety and need cars (something better than those found in Daz)

I downloaded such props, but they are in 3D Max.

Can one import these into Poser 5, and if so, how?

Thanks

If they're in .MAX format, the usual advice is to use the trial version of 3DS Max to convert them to OBJ. The only thing that can open .MAX is Max itself. :(

I'm not sure what you mean by "better". Most of the free cars you'll find for download are meant for architectural work, and are quite low poly relative to those at DAZ and in the Marketplace here, which also have the advantage of working features such as doors, wheels and steering.
