Subject: Poser 6 issues, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I have P6 and last month I was working on a project one night and it worked fine.  The next day, when I tried to start the program, it would make it to the part just before the work field showed up.  As soon as it was about to show the work field, it blanked out.  I tried it several times and it would give the Microsoft technical issue box.  I looked at the technical information and it would come up with several that ended up with the "tempappcompat.txt".

SmithMicro suggest a clean reinstall and delete preferences.  I tried that and it did not work.  Has anyone else had this problem in the past?  Has anyone had any luck in fixing this in the past?  Thank you for taking the time to look and make any suggestions.  Have a lovely week!

Sorry Beth.

I got rid of my Poser 6 right after Poser 7 came out with unlimited Undo. What are your computer specs and Operating System?

Try (re)installing the latest graphics card driver.

delete libraryprefs.xml and poser u_I prefs.xml , then start Poser and see what happens. These may be in douments and settings/user/application data/ poser x or the Poser program folder. I dont remember what version they changed it.  'user' is the user name you use on your computer, it may also be 'owner' .
