Hi out there, my name is Ariel Faust and im writing from Argentina, with a particular problem in mind. Im using Vue 7.5 (yes i know it's kind of old) but i seem to be having a problem with the water. What i need is to recreate a simple clear, and transparent water, with enough opacity so that half a block of ice might  be seen half-submerged in the water. Basically, to be able to see the whole iceberg, and not just the tip.

It is in hopes of finding any sort of help that Im writing in this forum, and sort of guide or recomendation will be creatly appreciated as it is incredibly hard to find it in my country. Thank you for your time!

Post a render of your scene so far.  The direction of the Sun is an important factor when setting up the water material.

Use a flat terrain (or a cube) instead of a water plane, play with the murkyness (under the transparency tab) incl. its colour. The falloff etc. effects are much better when the water material has some volume. Note: Some water mat presets don't use the "color transmitted light" option - they should, so turn it on (to 100 pct).

Hey, thanks for the tips. I checked the color transmitted light and it's on a 100%. Im going to try using a flat terrain and see what happens next!
