Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 7:57 am)
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
No problem. There is little chance you would have found those easily. Enjoy the angst of deciding. LOL

Well back from work and class and now almost time to get back to work but I think I already made a decision.
I think that 2010 is the way ill go because I have always wanted to do the best renders I can, and that means GC and all that stuff. and besides since my future computers will be 64 bit there is no reason not to get the 64 bit programs where they are available.
Don't base your planning around Poser 9. I have no idea when it will exist. All I know is there will be one.
Get the tools you need now.

Quote - Part of what I am wondering about is the new rigging system in what both of them? Will my current figures work properly with the new rigging system?
It's actually the same rigging system, but extended with some new options. Older figures should work as they have in previous versions.

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking. He apologizes for this. He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.
Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below. His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.

I have recently purchased two characters that were setup to render with GC right out of the box. That was not a buying point for me, just luck.
I've also been pretty happy with PP2010. Btw you will Really notice the difference if you skip a gen. I went from P7 to PP2010 :)

Since i am looking at upgrading to a computer that will be able to handle them better than my current box, I am wondering which is the best way to go. I currently have Poser 7.

Back when Poser 8 came out I didn't bother upgrading since i didn't think my old ass computer could handle it but now that I am building a new one i need to know these things.
