Just received my CGSociety newsletter and there are two links there that I thought might be of interest to some here. The first one is an article which explains how DAZ creates its humanoid models and that can be viewed here. And the second is a very interesting standalone software package that makes it easier to create clothing for figures and offers a 30 day demo to let you try it out and you can view that here.

Thanks for the great links Quest - I didn't read my latest newsletter and had just deleted from my email! The clothing software looks great, and the price isn't bad, not that I could afford it right now, but I'll certainly keep my eye on it.
