Thanks muchly!
I'll try this tip.

Sorry, can't resist... SM reckons their sim engine is "perfect" (per correspondence with their development team spokeperson)... wouldn't you think that in a mature product like Poser Pro 2010, improper sim setting might cause it to fail or stop or generate an error - not bring Poser itself to its knees?
I know, I'll just shut up, now...

I've made meshes myself that cause Poser to crash every now and then...lol. It's normally one of two things: either there's verts that are touching the figures surface (the most likely but the least likely reason to make Poser crash) or, the mesh is just too dense and my machine itself can't handle it (the least likely, but the most likely reason to make Poser crash) ;o).
So, it's that Vicky is poking thru or your mesh is just too dense for your machine's abilities...lol. Normally, my computer (and Poser) throws up it's hands at around the 35,000 mark (per clothing object, not every cloth that might be in the scene combined)....hehe.

Is this the DAZ V4 bodysuit figure? You want to make a fit morph for your custom V4 morph yes? If you have the "BODY" or "BodyMorphs" actors set to collide with V4, try de-selecting those and only have "real" body parts collide.
No joy on all accounts :(
I even tried the legless suit and the leotard version of the suit (no arms or legs) and still CRASH!
I surrender!
Thanks for all of the suggestions!

I surrendered on surrendering, (I'll lick the beastie yet, because I know it can be done) and then another thought hit me.
How am I going to get the morph I want back from dynamic to the conforming.
There is NO morph option for BODY for the Daz Bodysuit. For individual body parts (ie, Right Forearm, Left Shin...) yes, but if I morph the suit, it appears I have to chop up the dynamic cloth into respective groups(?), export the parts out and reload as morphs.
Is there an easier way?
I think I may have crossed the line from rank hobbyist to something else.....

Morph data isn't stored in BODY, those are just parameter dials. Morph data is stored in each and every body part it affects, and then these are all driven by a parameter dial in BODY. This is something you can get done with Dependent Parameters in Poser 8+ but imo it's way easier with a CR2 editor that has support for this feature (Dimension3D's does).
To capture the morphs for each body part you need to do Object->Spawn Morph Target for each and every body part, and give a name to the new morph. This is best done by a script because there is so much repetition; there is such a script in Phil Cooke's Poser Tool Kit.
Cool!
I own PhilC's PTB!
Now to tackle those crashes. I KNOW that this can be done.....

Oh hmm, you must have exported the figure to OBJ eh. Did you export it with group names included? I completely forgot how to do it this way, when you go to import the OBJ morph target onto the figure it's made much more complex because Poser can't import the welded OBJ of the full suit and split it onto each body part. I remember being able to get this done with D3D Poser File Editor's import morph target feature though.
Ugh, after fooling around with this myself a bit, seriously just use Morphing Clothes or magnet fits. So many things are working against you with a model this complex.
Hi dlfurman,
I got crashed even for simple clothes in P7.
Then I rename the simulation name using letter and numbers only and no space (instead of the default something_something123, etc.), the crashes disappeared. Maybe this relates to poser python. For example:
ShirtSim, SkirtSim, TopSim
Don't use: Shirt_Sim1, Shirt Sim1, Skirt_sim2, Skirt Sim 2, Top_sim3, etc.
Hope this help.

Progress!
It does work!
Again thank you all for your suggestions. I went and looked back at some older tutorials just to make sure I wasn't screwing up. To LaurieA, I knew the meshes had to be one object file and I had that weld option checked as well as the Include existing groups option.
I looked at the tutorial here by svdl from 2005 and I think the problem was on the re-import back in to Poser using the Weld Identical Vertices option. I never checked that option.
Now to get a decent morph out of this thing and then get it available to add to the conforming version of the bodysuit.
I Tried using the displacement brush in Hexagon2, and I need to play with that a bit more before I can have that as an option.
Thank you all again for your suggestions!!!

I actually didn't have a lot of trouble getting a simulation to run without crashing, just it either ruined the crease/seam details (fold resistance too low) or rippled the mesh. Adding all points to the constrained group didn't work out well, it didn't provoke a crash but after about 15 minutes of waiting for the first frame I cancelled.

Update: I have success in getting the Morph I needed, but now I need to get the morph from the dynamic bodysuit to the conforming bodysuit.
I have D3D's Morphing Clothes, and the fits for the morphed character(s) are perfect. Too perfect. The "stretched across" morph I get from the dynamics cloth is what is needed.

Okay, is the vertex count and order the same between the OBJ for the dynamic version compared to the OBJ used by the CR2 figure? If it is, you can move the morph in with Poser File Editor (assuming the bodypart groups are intact). If it's different, you can probably convert it with Morphing Clothes, with some experimentation.

It is a very simple thing I am doing.
I have a morphed V4 in a "T" pose. Frame 1 the morph is set to zero, frame 30 morph set to one. I made a single object of the bodysuit. I go to the cloth room with the object bodysuit on V4. Set up the sim, draping frame, clothify the bodysuit, set to collide against V4, change one resistance parameter lower, click Calculate Simulation and POSER HOSES!!!
Poser crashing after clicking Calculate Simulation is consistent and frustrating.
What gives?!?!?!?
Help!
