Subject: Ghost library folder in Poser8

tuxedomask ( ) posted Sat, 01 January 2011 at 4:33 PM · edited Sat, 16 November 2024 at 7:53 AM

Just installed Poser 8 onto my PC and at first could not find the libary folder.Found it eventually and opened it but it appears that there is no content in it .Why is that ? Have i chosen the wrong type of installation for Poser 8? Or is it that I can't have Poser 6 and Poser 8 on the same computer ?Can anyone help me solve this mystery?

thanks .

Oh almost forgot is there a simple way of transfering all my runtime /content from Poser6  to Poser8 ?

Once again thanks .

Just add the poser 6 runtime as an external runtime in the library. works great that way.

Ok .Thanks .But how do I do that ? I'm not that computer knowledgable .Do I drag and drop files from one app to the other ?Or can i just drag and drop the entire runtime into the Poser8 runtime as is ? Or do you mean create some sort of link from Poser6 to Poser8 ?

in the library tab there is an option, been so long I've forgotten myself. LOL look around in the menus in the library you'll find it.

Do not do this, you'll almost certainly break P8 by overwriting newer versions of vital files with older ones. > Quote - Or do you mean create some sort of link from Poser6 to Poser8 ?

Use the "Add Library" button and the navigate to your P6 install (see various threads and/or the manual for details).
