Subject: Is There Motion Capture Software \ Equipment For Poser?

Hello.

I'm looking for information about motion capture software equipment that can be used with Poser, if it exists.  Does anyone know of any web links that provide informatin on this for Poser? I've seen some pages for the bigger products like 3ds max and Maya but not really for Poser. All I've seen so far are people selling motion capture data for use in Poser but I'm more interested in what it takes to make your own human motions for Poser.  Plug-ins, special software, motion suits, etc. by some vendors.  Thanks in advance.

IPI DMC

I am using IPI Desktop Motion Capture and captured these samples:

Of course I added the facial morphs and lipsync in poser. The software is much cheaper than the professional ones and it ain't perfect for I sometimes getting miss-tracked limbs and it cannot track hand, foot and head movements as of now. I am getting workable results. If you have a fast video card and speedy processor, it will benefit you greatly for tracking the movements will be faster.

Setting the scene is a little frustrating to beginning users but in my case, it is so easy for I understand the principles behind it.

I don,t think there are plugin that add in poser to do motion capture, but poser can import bvh file, so if you find a motion capture softwear that export bvh file than import in poser.

hope this help:unsure:

NaturalPoint's Optitrack/Arena system works with Poser via Daz Studio and a little sleight of hand. I used this system for Part 4 of my animated movie:
