Subject: Action to Script...?

DarkEdge ( ) posted Sat, 19 February 2011 at 8:53 AM · edited Fri, 08 November 2024 at 7:54 PM

I'm trying to convert an Action to a Script, I've read that I need XTools to do this but can't quite figure out how yet, can anybody assist me?

Or if you know aother way to convert without XTools I would be very interested.

Thanks!

haven't done or even used scripts in a while, it but it seem xtools is the way to go.

will you be installing the toolkit on win or mac?

the install on win is pretty straight forward, dump the contents of the zip in a tmp directory (or anywhere, as long as you remember where when you run the script...) Then from PS execute the script: YOURTMPDIR/xtools/xapps/Install.jsx

it should create the XToolkit.atn action file and load it into the actions folder.

i might run through this on my mac when i get to the office in the morning and see what changes have developed in the scripting functionality for PS.  like i said, it's been awhile. almost forget it was still around.
