..what would happen if I scanned negatives?

I was thinking about that, Alpha. First of all, of course, I'll have to get the scanner working. And I've got some old and unnecessary negatives I can play around with - I have no idea if the scanner has transparency compatibility. Hope so :P And about question 2 - I really don't know the answer to that either. Anyhoo I'll have a play around......you never know, I might end up with something interesting.

I played about like this with my old scanner (ScanFX thingy, like a fax machine) and had amusing results. The scan quality was poor coz the dear thing only did 300 dpi, but when introducing a 'negative' filter I ended up with a half-decent picture. Actually, now I remember what it was - it was a medium format negative (at the time I called them 'bigger ones'!) of my Dad when he was in the Royal Signals with 2 mates in front of a diesel loco. I think at the time diesels were just starting to comeinto full service. (My Dad was a guardsman on the Mallard too - his claim to fame!)
