Subject: Figure circle off and BVH file

Is there an easy way, or any at all, to reset the figure circle after it's being moved by a BVH file and still keep the animation?

Poser 2010 pro.

Since I had not too many frames in this animation I corrected the hip params frame by frame.

Still would like to know if there is an easier way. :)

The figure circle is just a visual icon to represent the BODY actor. If you select the BODY and 'Restore Element' (Ctrl+E), this will restore the BODY actor to its Memorized state (and thus restore the figure circle).

As the BODY is the Root ancestor of all other parts of the figure, moving the BODY will always move the figure.

P.S.
Although the question was about how to reset the figure circle, doing that may not have the result you expect. If instead, what you  really want is to put the figure in the center of the figure circle, zero all translations in the hip. If you don't want to change the figure's altitude, only zero the x and z translations.

When the figure circle is not in the same place as the figure's geometry, it is because the hip has been translated, not because the circle has moved. You can't move the figure circle to where the hip is, that is not possible! You have to move the hip to where the figure circle is.

@Geep, thank you! :)

You are so right lesbentley. That was what I ended up doing, zero the hip x and z, then all was fine. It's been a while since I worked with Poser so I had forgotten this (and a lot of other things). :huh:
I needed to have it this way to be able to have a python script working which renders steps in a circle around the figure (ockham's script).
