Subject: getting downloads into Poser pro 2010 on a Mac

mikeihde ( ) posted Wed, 25 May 2011 at 12:26 PM · edited Tue, 28 January 2025 at 11:14 PM

It's been a long time since I've used Poser but way back I had an app that just put everything into the right place in poser when I ran it.

How do I put the new downloads I bought into the right places in Poser now-a-days?

I'm using Poser Pro 2010 on a iMac running 10.6.7

Thanks,

Mike

Well, you can either unzip it & put them in manually, or you can use this nifty little item:

I bought it when I first started using poser & I couldn't live without it for a very long time.

I must be missing something. Let's take a hair thing like "screen legend hair" when I start the instalation process the destination comes up as "/content" is that right? because after I finish the insatallation, I can't find it to use.

I also don't know how to use the app I just bought that you suggested because all the downloads want to install themselves but after I install them I can't find them anywhere.

Please help!

Mike

Hi Mike

"Content"

That is for Daz not Poser- select your PoserPro2010 folder and it should work fine.

BTW: the latest Daz installers and SLOOOOOOOOW on the Mac. With an i7 you might not notice it though.

Thanks that has all helped. But now i downloaded some figures that show up as a "runtime" folder. Where do I put them in order to use them?
