Subject: How does one know when items go on sale?

vienastoks ( ) posted Sat, 11 June 2011 at 7:40 AM · edited Thu, 30 January 2025 at 11:13 PM

Hi,

I'm a total newb here, so I can't find a decent way to track what items in the marketplace go on sale. Sure there's this megapage list with several hundred items on the last sale day, but as far as I can understand, it is ordered by the sale expiration date with items expiring today listed first.

Now, the problem is, I need to plan my purchases (budget is kinda limited), so I'd like to know what items GO on sale (today, for example) and plan my expenditures accordingly. Is there some RSS feed or e-mail service? Is there any other way to sort the sale list?

Help me, please. :)

Hi

First and foremost, WELCOME to Renderosity :)

Now onto your question.  It's sometimes difficult to gauge when items will go on sale due to the fact that vendors here control their own stores, so their able to set their sales when they see fit.  One thing that you can do is to wishlist items you have your eye on, that way if the vendor schedules a sale to kick off systematically, you'll receive an email letting you know it's on sale.

Another thing you can do is to subscribe to the RSS feed here http://www.renderosity.com/news.php?viewStory=14439 The sales feed will display 20 of the most recent products to hit the sales department.

Hope that helps.

Wow! Thanks!

RSS feeds are exactly the thing I needed. Especially so I can check them on my phone and never miss a thing.

You have my sincere gratitude.
