Would it be the copy merged?? Don't know the keyboard command but it's under Edit. You can't edit the layers if you use this one.
Yes. I would like to have the skydome thing whenever you get time. Just saw that post yesterday. Don't know how I missed it.. Thank you.

Wooohooo!
Thanks for the memory jog Ravyn.
It's not quite Copy Merged but sort of, it's actually Shift, and Ctrl and Alt and E - all at once.
This gives you a new layer at the top of the list with everything in the visible layers inside it.
Shift/Ctrl/Alt/E
Yaaaaay!
And it leaves the copied layers as they were, so now I can select a new selection for this new combined layer, paste that into another new layer, delete (or just hide) (I might need it again) the combined layer, and hey presto, I have what I wanted...
Brilliant!
Er... what skydome thing? (sorry, can't remember what that was about)

Skydome thing is from another forum.. If I don't forget I'll post an answer there.

Hi Fran, when you get a chance look through this thread in CGSociety which offers shortcut tips for Photoshop. Plenty of interesting and useful stuff here:

Quest,
Yes, it's a nice list and some more interesting tips scattered about through the thread. I'd forgotten I'd been there, but I see I still didn't get my question answered - that happens an awful lot over there, that's why I prefer it here, people here are a lot more responsive and kind to dorks like me.

No, no, you did - you sent me a site mail. I just haven't answered it yet. But I will, I've signed up for a "Webinar" on compositing, that I want to attend 'live' today, just got some tidying to do first.

Well I see you asked 2 questions and yeah, I also see you didn’t get an answer to either one. I think that some people often post and don’t go back or forget that they posted and/or have subscribe shut off. I don’t know if you finally figured it out on your own but if you didn’t the answers are:
“I think that tips like number 1 should also include how to undo that action, otherwise someone like me might have to spend hours trying to get back to normal.”
Continuous pressing of Tab or shift + Tab will toggle the palettes/palette.
For question # 2; when done correctly, pressing Ctrl+Shift+Alt+T will repeat the prior transform so in this instance; moving the dot 30 degrees around the relocated center point will ultimately create a clock face.
Oh thanks Quest,
I had figured out number 1 but as for number 2 I must have done it wrong in the first place, as I certainly didn't get a clock face.
I'll have to try it again.
I very much appreciate your taking the time out to answer questions that I didn't even ask you, I just love this place!!!

Hi,
I was following a tutorial a good while ago and it happened to include a single simple step for copying a few layers into one new layer in one go, but I can't remember the keyboard shortcut for that -
It takes all the visible layers, copies them and pastes all of them into one new layer, all with one shortcut.
Can anyone help?
