Quote - > Quote - We will all be better to live in a resource based economy so that there will be no more israel vs palestine, jews vs nazis, whites vs blacks, rich vs poor and most importantly, no more political OTs!

We do already live in a global resource based economy... haves and have nots - that's what causes most problems, if ya ask me. Religion merely gives justification for folks to act upon/for the resources ( land, in this discussion ) that one wants or won't give up.

I am glad someone replied to this very important idea.

We do live with the resources that we have and since we still are primitive minded and still cling on the illusionary value of money, we are actually wasting these finite resources for the sake of monetary profit and with that came almost 99% of all our problems wether it is social, political, physical, mental, spiritual etc.

The main idea of RBE is to declare the world's resources as a common heritage to all the world's people and use scientific method and human empathy to intelligently manage our limited resources to enhance all human life and to take care of our environment. By outgrowing our need for money and giving the resources for free for everybody and support the real experts (sociologists, scientists, engineers, doctors etc.) who has the real world solutions to our problems unlike the politicians, we are going to make a second Garden of Eden according to Jacque Fresco who is the project director of the Venus Project.

This is not communism or socialism because in RBE there are no banks, police, military and government unlike the former because we dont make decisions here but "arrive" on a decision using the scientific method and automation.

It is not a Eutopia because it constantly evolves, as technology and more knowledge about our world is gained and applied.

The reason why I support this idea is because it make sense and offers a tangible solution instead of the liberal approach of complaining and calling attention to problems without offering a permanent solution.

It helped me have a peace of mind personally for it made me understand that we are all not born evil for we are just all just by products of our surroundings thus it helped me to let go of anger and blame to people who have offended me in the past and the present.

Dont just take my word and I invite everyone to visit their main site and do your own research. Watch all of their videos and read the articles. If this at least help you have a peace of mind, then I have done my part to help any of you. Thanks for reading.

Spain was invaded by the Arabs for 800 years and this didn't change the fact that Cordova, Valencia, Granada were Spanish and continue to be today.

It's only a question of time, when the invader turns weaker, lose his protector or the invaded become more stronger things return to the right owner and the destiny of the invaders is nothing good.

I do not agree that it's only a question of time. If that were true, then it's only a question of time before my house and land is reclaimed by the Native Americans. That's completely absurd.

Oh, it's better than that. See, it isn't even based on what the Mayans said, it's based on what some people think the Mayans said while completely ignoring what the Mayans actually said.

For the two or three people in the world who haven't heard, in December, 2012, the Mayan calendar completes one of its cycles, and therefore people are claiming the END OF THE WORLD! because the calendar cycle is ending. No more dates! Thus no more world that needs dates! Or something. You know, like how the world ends every December 31st, since the Gregorian calendar runs out of months and dates then, as it also ends on the last day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the 29th day of Adar, and so on for whatever calendar system you use.

The reality is that one cycle of the Mayan calendar would end, and simply start a new one. Mayan writings mention predictions about the future which are given dates past December 2012, because they assumed a new cycle would simply start up.

Ditto, Like, Agree! Why can't the rest of you just take this thread for what it is. A person who is concerned for their safety is premptively saying farewell in case things don't go well. Why does it have to be politisized?

bagginsbill ( ) posted Tue, 28 June 2011 at 4:17 PM

Why do you ask this? It wasn't made into a discussion of politics at all. I might as well ask why you made it about peanuts? Why did you make it about car racing? What do refrigerator coils have to do with any of this? Hmmm?

Why?.. just  a wild guess here.... but that might be because  Many here in this very thread  have seen the OP have his threads locked and or Deleted here in the past for violation of the forum terms of service provision prohibiting political flame bait threads .

And perhaps some are even skeptical  that this  melodramatic "pre-emptive farewell"

Might just be yet another borderline razor thin piece of pro zionist hyperbole/propaganda  not suitable for these ART/POSER forums.

So...did the Emerald city with it's huge poppy fields have a resource based economy?

bagginsbill ( ) posted Tue, 28 June 2011 at 7:36 PM

Qatar has a resource based economy - taking the words at face value anyway.

The resource is oil, and it's their whole economy. In 2010 they had the highest GDP per capita in the world.

What's the point exactly? I don't get it. Them's that has the resource wins?

Or - are we supposed to take the resources away from them, on the basis that we needs the precious?

I understand that my post is open to mis-interpretation, but I simply meant to indicate that various interpretations of the meaning of the Mayan calendar were the source of the notion that 2012 would be the last year of history as witnessed by mankind.

Ralphie says that's incorrect by at least 7 years.

Still wishing you the best, David.

No its not a resource based economy because they still using money to put a "value" to their abundant resource. We are not going to take anything by force. RBE is not a dictatorship. It just promotes education, common sense and scientific proof which is sharing resources actually solves everyone's problems instead of keeping them.

Are people here saying if we have a resource based economy then we don't need currency or the banking industry?

Yes. Because money is just an invention to make the trading of goods easier instead of bringing a bag of apples to trade with a bag of oranges, a coin will do. It was good 100 years ago and became the most corrupt medium in the world but with the invention of science and the scientific method, this method has become obsolete.

What is so hard to understand? For example, I don't like getting punched in the nose, so I make it a principle not to punch others in the nose as well.  I don't like people spitting on me, so I make it a point not to spit on others! It's really fairly simple, I believe.

I have been occassionally accused of bing obnoxious, but that is usally a result of my being overly enthusiastic and passionte about something, rather than any premeditated ill-intent!  When I'm called out on such occassions, I make it a point to appologise.
