You need to find the right balance between GR gain and skydome gain. Radiosity gain will brighten the scene, so the higher the gain, the brighter, and the more skylight gain, the more you allow sky light to enter the room. It might look better with a ahigher sky light gain, and a lower radiosity gain. You also need to crank up the GR slidfer and the advanced effects quality boost in the render options.
Are you using SkinVue? If so, might simply be too much SSS in the skinvue parameters.

Hi all,
I have a small problem with my indoor lighting making some objects glow or give a glowing effect.
In the Atmosphere editor I am not sure what I should be tweaking the gain or the sky dome gain? It seems if I adjust the gain the glowing effect gets worse. Should I be tweaking the gain or Sky dome gain? You can see what I mean in the attached image just look at the red arrows and you'll see the glow. I get this effect all the time when trying to create indoor lighting. Most of the time the effect is around the wall when it meets the floor or ceiling. But many times around objects too.
I am using Spectral Model, Global radiosity, gain set at 3.00, sky dome gain set at 0.20 and none for quality boost. If any of the great lighing gurus can help, or anyone else for that matter, I'd really appreciate it.
