Subject: PICK Creator???? BB's Room Creation Scripts?????

Latexluv ( ) posted Sat, 23 July 2011 at 10:07 PM · edited Sat, 15 February 2025 at 5:32 AM

I seriously need to have the ability to create my own interiors! I cannot find the PICK Creator base (not sold at RDNA).  So where do you get it??? Also, I remember some threads a while back where BB showed he was making a similar type of script thing but did not hear if he abandoned the idea or not. Can any one give me any help with this?

Thank you! I now have the base PICK Creator. I'm still very keenly interested in Bagginsbill was cooking on.

Bill was doing geometry generation by python script I believe. I dont think he has released a product or freebie yet.

Agreed.  He demonstrated the potential with examples but never formally released any tangible script for general use.  I believe it was still WIP at the time.

Yes, that's what I recall of the discussions. Still, I'd like him to know that I am still interested in the project. I would hope others would also.

BB used it to create the room in this thread...

Semidieu sells Python scripts for PICK over at RDNA.  You might want to check them out.

There's a version of PICK included with Poser 8.

I bought lots of PICK stuff back in the time when it was still being sold at RDNA, and before Poser 8. I used it for a few renders, but these days I find it simpler to just model a room or backdrop in Blender. I found that the many PICK components created a lot of clutter in my scene and it became confusing when I wanted to add a lot of other stuff as well. I can keep the polys and the prop count down if I model it from scratch.

Yes, I found last night after I'd downloaded the PICK Base that it was already in Poser8, silly me. Then I discover over the course of hour that if was very tedious to assemble and the result wasn't what I was looking for. So I am still very interested in BB's geometry generation python script idea. Thanks all for your help!
