Two more wonderful posts,  family chosen and family received at birth. Wonderful treasures!  My human family is not friendly to the idea of having their pictures taken, but here is one of my furry family instead.  Tella wasn't exactly thrilled either.  Her cute black nose and funny pink chin with a black spot, are a good represention of her character.  She a real cutie and keeps me giggling.

Is this Tella your cat with the feet on the eyes, dear Lucinda? It looks such funny!
Thanks for sharing this 'rascal' treasure ;-)

This treasure is a day late, edging into September.  It is the dried roses, always yellow roses for our anniversary.  Several places in our modest home hold a vase of roses, dried naturally and delicate.

Each rose is for a year.  This year would have been 26 but was two instead.  Two did not lessen the love at all and I must tell what happend to the 26 roses.  I lost employment on December 31, 2010 and then a month prior to the anniversary my lovely wife was laid off her job.  I simply did not have the funds to order 26 yellow roses, delivered...and delivered to where!  She had no work place where the receptionist could call and say there is something here for you, a vase of roses she  could carry to her work area to keep a few days.   To me much of the joy is knowing she enjoys the roses and when coworkers stop and comment...ahh, that is a nice touch.

NO cash, no office for delivery...this year was 1 yellow rose for the 26th year and 1 red rose standing in for all the others.   That red rose appears to be in this vase of dried roses, from what year I do not know. I do know the red one and one yellow rose were for this year and she did smile.

What a wonderful closing on the subject of Treasures, Tom. The picture is very beautiful and sensitive story. Thanks for sharing.
Still wish you many years together.

God bless,
