Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 18 5:11 pm)
You can change the color of an object (after it has been selected) by clicking on the color in the "Poser Surface" area.

If the material zones share the same image map or procedural shader nodes, simply right-click in the empty field to open the menu, select all, and apply to all... Otherwise, copy and paste should do it. Now if it is a specific color regardless of the image map attached, Ctrl+click on the color chip, create your custom color, then click on the bottom button to Add the custom color to the palette. You will need to go into each zone to make the modifications manually, but your new input will be available until you shutdown Poser. Unfortunately, custom chips are not permanently retained between sessions. Hopefully, this answers your question.
If you can select the 'target' material you want to use, using the eye-dropper or the Object / Material drop down menus in the Material room, than save THAT material to the library. Using the Object / Material drop down menus to select the item you want to copy that material to. Then load it from the library.
Hope this is clear. It's early morning here. I rarely use the mouse to try and select fine items. The drop down menus contain everything in your scene ...
Best Wishes,

Ok I am sure it should be obvious but I feel like I must be having a moment this morning...went to try to use the eye dropper tool in material room this morning to select a color from one group in my obj to apply it to another group and for the life of me can't understand how it works! Either its not intuitive or I am not- but I would appreciate any advice. Thanks!
