Subject: Texture templates for Poser 7 Kate?

I have now made several face morphs for Poser 7 Kate. I'll release those in freestuff as soon as I figure out how to make morphs for distribution.

But I want to make more textures as well. I looked in my Poser download files and runtimes for a texture template for Kate, but I can't find one. There doesn't seem to be one for download at Content Paradise either. Am I missing something or am I going to have to make my own templates using Blender or UVMapper (dread the thought)? If someone knows a link to where they can be found I would appreciate it very much.

I must be insane. I have never made a figure texture, but I want to try.

Yes, I figured as much. Until I have more energy, I just exported the head template. I think I'll stick with head textures to start with.

You may want to instead make the template based on Poser 6 Kate, as Poser 7 Kate has a fairly strange UV layout - half of her bodymap is mirrored (overlapping UVs). Thus a template based on P7K will appear broken. OTOH, maps created for P6K will work perfectly on P7K. The head is the same for both versions.

Ralph Sessler (Dimension3D) has a freebie - UV Viewer - that lets you create UV templates. It's rough and ready, but it works. I did this in less than 5 minutes.

I had to downsample it to get it on here (I originally did it at 3000 x 3000 pixels).

This is Kate2's body and limbs.

Blender does a good job of exporting UV maps too. Poser 7 Kate's layout is strange yes, but it makes sense in a way.
