I'm pretty sure there's an SR3 you need to download - which you can find here. Look for:

Thanks Robyn, I'm definitly looking at PoserPro 2012, I'm about to get a 64 bit machine and I'd like to use it to the fullest :)
But first I have to figure out how to use Poser, rofl. I need one of those Poser for Dummies books. I've been a DS user up until now, and Poser is very different and confusing to me. I find tuts, but none that seem to be as beginner as I need, lol
I really think I"d be better off if I'd never used a 3D program at all, as if I were starting from scratch, lol.
Feel free to ask questions here... some answers you get may be a bit brusque, but overall I think you'll find this to be a reasonably friendly community. Poser is a different animal to DS, and I think you might find aspects that you might wish were more DS-like, but as you get used to it, it'll become easier to use. And believe me, you have infinitely more flexibility all built-in to your programme, with hundreds of free scripts to extend your programme's functionality. The days of the "buy-another-plugin" to extend your programme's capabilities are behind you!
I'm learning to make my own clothing for the Cloth Room - I work in recovery (post-op) as a nurse and so I'm making this virtual recovery coom featuring all my workmates. To that end, I've made my own scrubs for V4 in Blender and simmed them:
...btw, this was rendered in Luxrender using an exporter from Poser to Luxrender called Pose2Lux... which is free. I really think you'll get used to the idea pretty quickly how much is free for Poser!

Very cool looking outfit Robyn! I've never used Luxrender, but I've seen some gorgeous results with it. So if there is a free exporter for Poser, I may give it a try.
Thanks Laurie, I downloaded the above mentioned update, I'll install that later this afternoon, I've got company coming in today, so I don't see much computer time in my future, lol.
I managed to add my V4 runtime, most of it shows up just fine, however, in, at least some, of the Pose folders I get a folder with a question mark, the name of the folder is listed, but I can't open it. I've attached a screen shot, so if some kind soul could tell me what I've done wrong, or what I need to do to acess these files, I'd sure appreciate it :)
I'm using XP pro sp2, if that matters. And no, I haven't managed to update Poser to the latest version/service release yet. I'm hoping that isn't too complicated, lol
thanks in advance, kim/cimaira
Hi Cimaira, When you installed V4, did you remember to run the V4 Updater? And was is a Poser version of V4? The V4 updater should have installed an icon on your desktop.
Thanks for the replies. No luck yet. I did do the update, easy peasy :)
Updates done
Search is set to "deep".
The original install was for Daz Studio, so I did do the updater for V4.
V4 isn't the problem she loads, just fine, most of the pose folders show up.
For example, I load V4 add the ++morphs. I go into Pose folders, and select say a Surreality product.. I can usually load the morphs, and some of the mats, usually all the eye options but when I try to go to the make ups, or alternate skin textures, I get the question mark folders. So it's not an issue of not loading V4 or any of the morphs or poses/mats, it's just select ones.
I do plan on updating to PoserPro 2012. I hope to be getting a 64 bit machine in the near, I hope, future, so I'd like to have 64 bit compatability.
I was just hoping I could figure this out.
Thanks again for the replies.
Oh well, I'm just about to give up on those that dont work, until I get a new computer. None of the problem files are shaders. I do have my runtimes set up on an external runtime. I have character specific runtimes, V4.. M4... Props.. ect. Then I have a set up for Daz specific files.. shaders lights ect. I only added the V4 runtime. Oh well, this is giving me a headache right now.
Not to mention my fridge just died, so that sort of takes priority, lol Tomorrow will be spent finding a replacement ASAP :)
have a good evening all
There's an option, under Edit: General Preferences, Library Tab; Thumbnail Display.
It's probably set to the second option, set it on the first and you'll never see those question marks again.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! Thank you so much! Such a simple fix! I can now see all the folders and their contents properly. I could just hug you! Just pretend I just send you a big warm hug.
Can you tell, I'm pretty happy about this, lol
thank you again, I really appreciate your taking the time to post this reply!

Hi,
I've owned Poser 7 for ages, but just decided,(2 days ago), to install and try to learn the program. I must say, so far, I'm totally lost, but I'll get there, lol.
My first question is this, what was the latest update for Poser 7
this is the version I have according to the help/about Poser 7 inside my poser..
7.0.2.123
I'm sure there is a later update, should I update? My machine is running XP pro 32bit
sp2.
Thanks for any and all advice.
