heres the latest tex/bangs added and morphed over ears...still a couple thin spots on sides toward rear... this is mostly a bend test...still one piece with hair parented to neck with inherit bends checked...ill probablt need to divide it into a couple parts and make a conforming figure

Y'all have a great day.

these animations run fairly well in full screen mode if you want a closer look

Y'all have a great day.

Very interesting animation. Did you also use mimic to move the eyes?

The hair in the animations are a base object that I've been working on for the last 6 months...tweaking and optimizing and basically seeing what can be done given time and patience ... the problem I have been working on is getting an object that's consistent in 360degrees(a base object) that can then be further manipulated into various hairstyles... IM very close to that goal when you take the basic straight hair and twist turn push, or pull areas it becomes more and more realistic as styles emerge...this has been designed with modeling in mind and is easy to manipulate with predictable results... the picture above demonstrates what i have in mind...this was done in less than 30 min in max with soft selection and just pulling and pushing in the x/y axis, obviously it still would require some additional thickening on sides toward rear (easily done) and additional care in getting more consistency in the bends and smoothing, but i'm just trying to make a point here... the texture and transmaps consist of simple straight lines ..i'm not a great texture artist...i think that with the right texture and transmap and proper molding of the object itself (which ill do after the base object is finally completed) this hair could be spectacular../ obj size is ~870kb...~24000 polis...renders in less than one minute(1ghz amd thunderbird/256ram) niterug i used mimic in the first animation...the second is just a few key frames..breaks the monotony of looking at straight face additional note: everything here is done in poser with no special lighting or preparations and no touchups...poser4 straight out of box (patched with latest CL update}

Y'all have a great day.
