help!

My Jaba Da Hutt has fled my RUNTIME folder and I can't find him in my hundreds deep archive CDs collection.

I tried looking for him but don't remember who created him. the one I had was posable.

Does anyone know who created this ugly big guy and/or where I can find him?

The Force be with you for any help you can provide!   ;)

Wow, NRuddock - that is cool. Is that hard to use, that way-back machine? It's a potential gold mine, isn't it?

this ones static it wont pose not rigged, but it's a good model to use for a still life scene, it's  in sketchup format, but maybe someone can convert it for you or you can download sketch up free and do it or use blender.

worked fine for me as well.

shante ( ) posted Sat, 03 September 2011 at 10:42 AM

Well, let me rephrase. I can see the downloads but they all seem to be SIXUS stuff.

I thought Waybac machine also offered other poser stuff to search through?

I was wondering how to find that database to browse through?

Jules53757 ( ) posted Sat, 03 September 2011 at 4:24 PM

You have to have an idea about the site and then you can find different statusses of the page, no database included.

I am sorry I just don't understand what you mean by having "An idea about the site"?

I have no idea.....about how it works.

I thought from hearing others speak of it that you go to the site there is a search criteria you key in what you are looking for nd if there is anything in the data base it can recover bingo.

I feel dumb!   :(

Jules53757 ( ) posted Sun, 04 September 2011 at 1:19 AM

Very easy, you have to know the URL of the site thats gone or with that old content. With this knowledge you go to archive.org enter the adress and you get a list of saved pages with date. Thats all. They collect nearly every website.

shante ( ) posted Sun, 04 September 2011 at 1:23 AM

Oh....I see. So I would have to have an old website from where the original item(s) was first made available for the search engine to work!?

OK thanks all clear now. Certainly nothing I can do because I don't have that info but worth keeping in mind.

Thanks!

binks takes bvh files o.k., but he's a bit unsteady on his feet IMVHO.

binks

this was one of the binks from theforce.net. I dunno if that site is still extant. no, wait, it still exists, but I didn't see the models download page after ... sec. of looking.

Miss Nancy ( ) posted Mon, 05 September 2011 at 10:32 PM

it appears the binks.cr2 file was from http://www.3dposer.com/ or http://www.3dgladiators.com/.  the former may no longer exist, but the latter is still there.

Jules53757 ( ) posted Tue, 06 September 2011 at 10:54 AM

May be the hooded robes are on RuntimeDNA/zeroitems, check it out.

just one further note: in addition to the above, they've got these figures at scifi-3d.com.  now that poser 9 is out, they should be a snap to pose.

shante ( ) posted Tue, 06 September 2011 at 2:30 PM

I tried accessing scifi-3d.com but it appears it no longer exists. Did you get the addie correct?

Sorry but what is special about Poser 9.

Aren't the figures you speak of standard Poser interface figures which should work in most versions of Poser?

Miss Nancy ( ) posted Tue, 06 September 2011 at 4:27 PM · edited Tue, 06 September 2011 at 4:32 PM

Attached Link: http://www.scifi3d.com/

no, the figures there are like the binks in the animation above - maya, max, fbx, 3ds, lwo, obj.  they're discussing the rigging features of poser 9 at rdna.  **[ http://www.runtimedna.com/forum/showthread.php?63623-Auto-Grouping&highlight=rigging](http://www.runtimedna.com/forum/showthread.php?63623-Auto-Grouping&highlight=rigging)**

rigging one of these just to do a still frame may seem necessary to many, but for me the idea is to animate these things.

way back machine found the links for the items for the robes but the ftp was gone so nothing there to download
