Subject: Stereoscopic Viewing

Is there any hardware and/or software to enable stereoscopic viewing of 3D objects and scenes? What I have in mind is creating two views of the object/scene from slightly different perspectives, and then using something (the speical glasses from the old 1960s era 3D movies come to mind) so that the image is viewed with depth. Anyone have any knowledge of such a capability? Or any tips or leads? - JimX
