Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 03 1:41 pm)
You need to parent the skullcap to the head and then save it to the library.
Deleting just the skullcap is normal behavior for what is a group of parented props. There are some python scripts that will delete the entire group.
The parent universe only says that the prop is unparented when loaded, a setparent should work.
I would check the parenting in the hierarchy editor. If that appears correct you may have a bug.
what version of Poser ?
The hierarchy editor shows that the skullcap is parented to the head, and the hair parts are parented to the skullcap.
The issue isn't deletion - I expect that. But when the skullcap didn't move with the head, I translated it and expected the parented hair props to follow.
I'm using PP2012.

Okay, I'm working on a dynamic hair prop for Antonia, and grew it on a third party skullcap.
Two problems:
The hair won't move with Antonia, even though it is parented. My memory told me this had something to do with there being a "parent UNIVERSE" line in the hr2, but deleting that hasn't helped.
For that matter, moving the skullcap manually does not bring the hair pieces with it, even though they are parented to the skullcap.
What am I missing?
