Subject: View Magnifier Bug

After umpteen versions of Poser (I have PPro 2012), it appears that they still haven't resolved an old bug with View Magnifier. That is, sometimes (but not always) when you click on the View Magnifier button, the camera seems to shoot off into the heavens.

I'm wondering if there is a known workaround for this ?

Try pressing the "SPACE" bar B4 you use the mag. 😄

Thanks, doc. But what does that do ? ... and do you mean to press and hold down the spacebar while hitting the VM button ?

No need to press and hold ... just press (maybe, I'm guessing here because) ...

There has been a similar problem with the camera(s) acting funny, i.e., the x, y, and zTrans would go waaaaaay out of range when one tried to move (x, y, or zTran) it/them.

This strange condition seems to occur following displaying a video (not necessarily inside Poser) and then trying to move a camera ... and could be corrected by pressing the SPACE bar before moving the camera.  The suspicion is that pressing the SPACE bar cleared something somewhere (in the software) that was causing the problem.

Since the magnifier effectively causes a camera to "zoom" in ... it may be related and thus maybe (maybe ... and  that's a big maybe) be corrected using the "press the 'SPACE' bar" method.

I'm only guessing here but it's a very simple test to run to see if it corrects the problem, no?!

Thanks, doc. I will try this. However, given the intermittent nature of the bug, it won't be a conclusive test.
