It’s that certain special time of year where people get together with their friends and loved ones to stuff themselves silly, have a bunch of laughs, run around super-busy, share mountains of things with each other, and celebrate their butts off! DAZCreativeContests has started it's Holiday shopping early this year, and, as such, we've amassed a whole heap of presents..err prizes to give away to our members!

Our little group will be hitting 6 months of being open this December so we thought we should try our best to do something nice to mark this special occasion for our admins, and, more importantly, you, our lovely group members. We have worked hard to put together something very cool and special, and as you may have noticed we have been teasing the hell out of you for the last few weeks for the big day - well, wait no more! We are pretty confident that we have delivered on our promise of something huge!

We were very lucky to have Jack Tomalin support us with his awesome "The House that Jack Built" contest, giving us a first in DCC in both a new format for the group, and for getting outside support in helping us reach a few more people through the group. Did you all have a nice time kiddies? Good! Because the roof is about to be raised, and your socks are about to be blown across the room, so make sure you take down any items that could get smashed in the process. I’ll give you a second to do that now...done it? Good!

The

theme for the contest is to show us your take on a celebration or important anniversary that you may have been part of or know about. It could be the day you married you loved one, or the day you won the hundred meter dash at your school sports day when you were 12. It could be the day you finally got your first nuke on C.O.D. and annihilated everyone in the game. Maybe it is something more sombre such as remembering the life of a loved one on the anniversary of their passing, celebrating the life they lead and the lives that they touched. Maybe you are a history buff and would like to bring an important day to the attention of others? Remember when England won the world cup in 1966 against the Germans (I don’t, I wasn’t born then), but that would also be acceptable to an Englishman like myself! Maybe it was the day you were driving home from work when you were suddenly hit by the need to use the toilet, and managed to burst through the door, kicked the cat out of the way and then did the toilet dance as you feverishly tried to unbutton yourself for the upcoming moment of relief. Ok, so that is pretty gross, but you know we love humour in renders over here! In the mood for a Christmas or Holiday render? Those are annual events, too, and will make very welcomed entries. The list is practically endless for this one as we all have moments in our life where we can look back fondly and enjoy reliving a moment or a feeling that has lasted with us for a lifetime. Show us your fondest memories and moments of celebration as we all move towards the month of December and the festive season!

Now for the business side of things!

Contest opens today, November 20th, and will run until January 5th at 11:59pm EST.

Participants may submit up to THREE entries - each participant can only win once.

Renders must be done in either DAZ Studio or Poser (though we do have side-contests that will include other softwares/render engines - stay tuned for more info on those)

Images must include mention of software used (DAZ Studio or Poser).

No restrictions on image size.

Entries must be submitted to DAZCreativeContests' DeviantArt group into the "Anniversary Contest" folder.

You must include a link to dazcreativecontests.deviantart.com and mention of this contest in your image description on DeviantArt.

Post work is allowed and welcomed.
