Subject: Changing Joint Parameters

Heya Jeff, I created a trouser in RDS5.02. The Import via 'hier' was successful, so a new figure was born. Next step is to wear on this trousers (Poser4 male). For this I tried to change the center points in Joint parameters. It's funny, but after changing the values in the inputfields they turned to Zero and there is no chance to conform the clothing. What did I made wrong? Last: I create clothes in RDS 5.02 on the basis of P4NudeWom.obj. After I had read some tutorials, I'm not sure, if this *.obj is the right one. By the way, another question: Are there general problems in building clothing-objects in RDS 5.02 and import them into poser? I never could build some clothing in RDS and import them into Poser without a fight! Greetings to you Daniel + Matthias Kruse

Nerd has a small tutorial on conforming at www.nerd3d.com You can also use an existing clothing CR2 for your OBJ file. There are two directory references to the OBJ file that must be edited to point to your OBJ file. ScottA uses RDS5.02 more often than I do, maybe he can help. -JH.

Someone in the Poser Tech forum was also having trouble with center points returning to zero. You may want to take a look at this thread: http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=10139&Form.ShowMessage=282726

I've never seen this happen before, but if two people are experiencing the same problem then it might be helpful to compare your set-ups and see where this problem might be stemming from.

It's been a long time since I've used RDS, but if you have the .obj plugin it shouldn't be too difficult to import into Poser.

Dear friends, first I thought 'direct hit', because I'm riding on this NT4 (Service Pack 5) stuff! So I asked Daniel to proof my problem, but (**** isn't it a nice bug?***) he has got the same problem and he is using Win98! So we are not in this lucky mood like Az, who could manage this problem by changing the system. Nevertheless it is not a big deal to change the values in this *.cr2. Changing in there means also changing the values in Poser. Perhaps we'll ask the CL-support for this problem, perhaps it is a problem of the German Version (espacially the Update 4.03), because before we made this update, we could change the centers without any troubles. Again, you saved the day. It is another reason for us to upload some of our 'arts' in the freestuff section (if you like some high detailed scuba equippment..) Greetings Matthias + Daniel

Here's another person with the same problem. I'm starting to think it might have something to do with the non-english versions of Poser.

It's so silly!!!!! we know where the mistake is coming from: We, as European are using a comma instead of dot for writing a decimal value! Now it's clear, why you never got this mistake! F.e. just type -0.043 instead of -0,043 In our case it's working now! We are going to send this message to all the other fellows in the 'outlands'. Greetings Matthias
