Subject: Dynamic hair- can't render using IDL? Hair acts like YELLOW light-

I get a bizarre color effect when attempting IDL rendering with dynamic hair. I've tried turning off visible in raytracing, and it does not change. I'm using the hair shader from the drop down list in PoserPro2012. I've tried with IDL and one (white) infinite light at 10%

Oddly-it makes the hair act like a bright YELLOW light-I can even see the effect on nearby objects in the scene

Same scene with IDL off and light turned up to 50%

I am guessing there is an ambient on the hair. A lot of people used that for "shine."

what Ghost said - ppl ususally add translucence, which is just ambiance really.. Cool effect though.

Oddly enough. The Ambient was set to ZERO. What I did find was that I had two hair props- ambient zero on both.  I only grew hair on one of them. When I deleted the other one- all returned to normal. An ODD glitch!
