1 Don't install the 64 bit version you don't have the OS spec
2 update/reinstall Flash utilities for internet explorer not Flash app IE plug in

Heat and animosity, contest and conflict, may sharpen the wits, although they rarely do;they never strengthen the understanding, clear the perspicacity, guide the judgment, or improve the heart
Walter Savage Landor
So is that TTFN or TANSTAAFL?
which is the 64 bit version? the non x86? i only installed the 32 bit version, as far as i know. (or thought i told it.)
hmmm, okay, i installed the latest flash for ie. no joy.
what is the 'flash utilities for ie' and not 'flash app ie plug in'? i just went to 'install adobe flash player.'
all i see in the ie tools is adobe flash player object. i dont see any buttons to check for updates or add-ons or get other flash plug ins or whatnots.
and yeah, i allowed poser through the firewall for everything it asked for.
well, you guys are doing better than smith micro support so far :X
Have an up to date Flash for Internet Explorer installed and check the Internet Explorer is "online" (in my italian installation it is under the Strumenti (Tools) menu). IE need not be continuously online, it is just necessary that it is so when you use Poser.
And now wait for the flames... (b.t.w., also Google Earth needs IE to be online in order to access the database).
GIMP 2.7.4, Inkscape 0.48, Genetica 3.6 Basic, FilterForge 3 Professional, Blender 2.61, SketchUp 8, PoserPro 2012, Vue 10 Infinite, World Machine 2.3, GeoControl 2
Although you were installing the 32 bit app, it also installed the 64-bit icon. IIRC, during setup it does geve an option to create both icons. It doesn't matter which icon you use, there is only one path to the app.
As for adobe flash driver updating, try reinstalling the drivers as provided with PP2012. The only other way to update the drivers is directly from the Adobe website. I have been a little hesitant updating recently because one of their versions did strange things to the library.

i just installed pp12 and sr1 for it.
when i try to open the library sidebar thingy, i get an idiotnet explorer page telling me "The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings." and blah blah blah, and "Cannot find server or DNS Error Internet Explorer"
how can i possibly fix this???
i have windows xp pro, sr3. i do not use internet explorer. however, i let windows update keep updating it, since stupid windows update uses it to update WITH.
btw: am i supposed to be using poser pro 2012 or poser pro 2012 (x86)? how do i know? (both seem to run, but have the same library screwiness.)
