Subject: Purchasing PP2012 from a physical store instead of online

Anyone know who would be carrying this software on the shelf? I am unable to get it online for many reasons I won't bore you with. I just need to know where I could start looking for it.

Thanks!

Tried to call Smith Micro and asked them for resellers in you're area?

call amazon and order?

I found it at Fry's Electronics, thanks!

Yeah, poser is kind of a niche software so you should be glad you found it.  I think I've seen anime studio in a few stores and manga studio once or twice, but no poser since COMPusa originally went bankrupt (they are still around down here but not really in the software business anymore).

Plus you've got to think about the new age of product distribution: people want things that can be sent to them digitally or buy online.  Especially younger people.  Traditional stores are becoming more of a showcase than anything else.

WARK!

Thus Spoketh Winterclaw: a blog about a Winterclaw who speaks from time to time.

(using Poser Pro 2014 SR3, on 64 bit Win 7, poser units are inches.)

I intend to buy mine full version in a box from Amazon since it will be cheaper than to buy the upgrade from Smith Micro. What a shame... will be the first time in years that I haven't bought the upgrade directly from SM.

I am still going to look in the Navy Exchange. That's where I found Poser 8 two years ago, and paid $90 for it then. If I can't find it or order it there, I will go to Fry's. The difference is the sales tax. There isn't a sales tax associated with the Navy Exchange.

I don't know if Fry's still segreates the Apple software from the PC software, but I bought a copy of Poser at Fry's years ago. I wondered around the PC software isle for about 20 minutes looking for it. I even asked a clerk who confirmed they had copies somewhere. Then, by accident, found the Apple software section. Turned out the copies were in there as Poser can run on either PC or Apple. So if you have trouble finding it in the PC isle, check the Apple one. Or vis-a-versa I guess if you're looking for a copy for the Apple.

Bought my last copy of Poser (PP2012) thru Amazon during their pre-Christmas sales. Pretty happy with their service and price.

Good luck

When I bought Poser 8, the box came with a disc for either version in it. I am half expecting it to be the same with Poser 9. My CC is maxed out, or I would have already purchased it online. I would have opted for delivery of the disc, as I am not on a very reliable WIFI network.

Don't know about Poser 9, but Poser Pro 2012 comes on separate disks for PC and Mac.

Yeah, that gives me good reason to think Poser 9 does too. Soooo... it's off to Fry's later on today and get my Poser 9...
