Visit the Carrara Gallery here.
You will need to export the morphs as OBJ, so other can use it in Poser BUT if its a paied item you still need to convert it to a point cloud (dont remember how this is done) to distribute, because even morphed still are a work from another person.

So each morph needs to be exported as a separate OBJ? And the modified original too to have the new UV mapping and the altered geometry (optimized poly count)? Can I do anything to avoind creating 14 obj and sending them around? Is there any other format that Carrara exports, which can retain knowledge of morphs? FBX? Collada?
If individual OBJ files is the only option, can I reassemble it all back in Poser somehow? What would i need to do for that? (I have Poser 6, and, btw, I'm using C8.1Pro)
Since I only intend to give it to the original creator, the distribution restrictions do not apply, but it is a fair consideration. Thank you!
If you changed the poly count your object isnt a morph anymore, morph only happens with object with the same point count (theres a problem with the direction count too). No other file format can accept morphs for Poser, only CR2 files or PPZ files, but Carrara cant create them. Yes you will need to export all those morphs ans reassemble it in Poser, since you changed the UV you will have to use a software to paste the new UV to the base object... thats is the way all Content creator do the job, so theres no easy way. After load all in Pose ryou can export as a PPZ or any other format that your friend can use.

Thank you!!!
I do hope that content creators use less labor intensive tools though :). I was not thinking of Poser compatibility when I was altering the item: I just needed those changes for my own use, but I thought it could be handy, so now I might end up doing some extra work :). If the original author of the model is interested, of course.
Since I changed the poly count, the base object I'd be using is my changed one, with new UVs and new poly count, so I hope it means I don't have to do anything else to the object (I have no idea what pasting a UV is), just load it in poser and load exported morphs objects, right?
Yes, you will need YOUR base object with the new UV. Just export all and load i Poser to export.

Hi all,
I have a question about Carrara's exporting options:
I have an item in Carrara, which was originally a Poser prop. I have modified it inside Carrara to fit my needs: added morphs, changed UV mapping and some geometry, etc. I would like to make the changes available to the original creator of the item, in Poser-usable form (the person doesn't have Carrara).
Is there a way to export the modiefied item so that it would retain the morphs and the new features and would be importabable or loadable in Poser?
Thank you!
