I cant figure out why some items in this market place say (not tested in daz studio). ppl see these items and want to purchas them but to get shot down when it is not tested for another 3d program. i mean u have to have V4.2 from daz in order to place the items, clothing. so why r these items not tested for daz studio. some ppl cant afford poser, and has daz studio. i wont even buy anything here because i dont have poser, and the items i would like to get r not tested. SO what if i get an item and it has not been tested in daz studio, can i be credited or am i just out of luck???

Hello,

This is so the buyer knows that the items were not tested in Daz. If the vendor does not have Daz studios than they can't test it in that program.

You can always ask the vendor before purchasing the product if it will work in Daz and sometimes they will approve of a refund if it does not and other times they will not because it says it is not tested in Daz on the product page.

You can also ask about a specific product in the Daz forum as a member may have purchased that item and has suggestions on how to get it to work in Daz.

Below is the link to the Daz forum:

Thank you and have a nice day!

Let me shed some light on [my] reason of putting "Not Tested in Daz" on my products, which I'm changing, and I will iterate after my explanation.

All my products (aside from dynamic clothing) will load in Daz, but, I use Poser metal shaders a lot of times, and don't use Daz enough to know how to translate them over.

So, I am now changing the "Not Tested in Daz" to "Loads in Daz, but Poser metal shaders are used on (such-n-such) parts," which will let people know that it will load for them, if they have their own metal shaders to use in place of the Poser ones.

I'm not sure of others' reasons, but this is mine, and it shows that just because a product says "not tested in DS", doesn't mean we're too lazy to test it in a free program or whatever, it could just mean that one or more parts/materials don't play nicely in daz, and vendors just put that as a standard disclaimer.

it is always a little Problem we all have, if we use our special and beloved 3D Program. The best thing is, if its useable fine by equality which 3D Program we use ( DAZ Studio, Poser or others.

Unfortunately most we use just the one prog and are addicted too. This causes that some products we would like to have and adore are not usable or we are unsure to use it and are unhappy if it doesnt work, cause its just for this one and only program.

We must be honest, most of us Poseruser using the DAZ People  or other 3rd Party ones and do the products for. We Poseruser have the same buying on DAZ. Most new Stuff which is be very cool and awesome ist just for Genesis and we only can use it if we have the Studio to export some things... On The DAZ Forums are Threads about this fact, where Poseruser are unhappy.

I have tried to use the studio and I gave up. I am happy that I am able to use Poser 10% of its possibilities and its a hard way to learn all the features so my nervs aren´t good for the Studio and I think Studiousers have the same with Poser too.

Its our 3D nemesis, that some products not working in our prefered program. Sometimes I see Bryce Stuff, Vue Stuff ect I think ooohhhhhhhhh cannot have it, but its so awesome

In Your case it would be not happy If You would buy with joy a product which hasn´t the explanation not tested in DAZ Studio and then You see it doe´st work fine. Great would be if Vendors who don´t have the other prog would know testers that test it in the other solution and may fix problems...

wishing You all the best and a big Hug

Yours Patty

Patty, are you reading my mind again..lol

I have spoke to quite a few people who (even though it's free) do not like to use Daz at all.

Thank you both for coming in and giving your thoughts on this :)

Have a great weekend all..hugs!!
