Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 18 7:53 am)
I dont have that large of card (8 gig) but in my experience it helps windows overall. Even if it is not faster than the hard drive, the seek times are much faster and you do not get the head thrashing you get if your swap files etc are on the hard drive. At worst, it will not hurt.

I use readyboost on all my systems (6)
I think Windows can use 4 times 4GB for readyboost.
I have one SD card and 3 USB sticks, each set to 4GB of readyboost.
i never got Windows to use more then 4GB on a single card or stick.
But 4 times 4GB works here.
I did not do a lot of exerimenting, just set it up and left it alone.

Not sure this is the best place to put this but as poser is the program I use the most I thought I would try. I use a i7 quad core laptop with 8gb RAM 1TB HDD for poser (and a bit with photoshop) Recently i bought a 32GB cat 10 SD card for my camera but decided it was a bit of over kill so I was wondering would I see any benefit in poser using it as ready boost? laptop has a built in SD card reader and windows says can use 30GB to speed up system , by the way I am using windows 7 64bit home premium any body have any experience or knowledge of this ?
