So I am a moron.

 

I just bought a gift certificate for myself, instead of for the account I wanted to give it to because I didn't read the whole gift certificate ad correctly.  Is there a way to transfer it after the fact or refund it and buy it again?  Or is it easy enough to just use my gift cert to buy a new gift cert with the proper account on it?

LOL..you are not a dummy as it happens quite frequently ;)

Nothing is wrong with the system, some people just forget to enter the person's username in the "gift for" box.

One way to avoid this problem would be to make so that either a username always have to be entered, or have a check box to confirm GC is for the user not someone else (first method should require very little change to your code).
