Hi All,

Been a (long) while since my last visit. Less time for art during this recession, I'm sure you understand...

Anyway, I'm going out this weekend (if the light's any good) with my digital camera, to photograph more textures to add to the free ones on my site. Will also be making more textures in Adobe Photoshop.

Any requests for items to look for, to photograph or to create digitally?

Hello Jim.

Been a long time!

Stone materials are always useful. Stucco, old flaked paint on boards.  Closeups of plant materials, such as leaves are always high on my list. For fruit and vegetable models, and for poly plants, there seems to be no subsitute for the real texture. Never can do quite the same job with a man-made shader.

Yep, been too long.

Good suggestions. I know of a certain stone wall with ivy and moss. We have poison oak here and I can macro photograph other leaves. Spotted some wild mushrooms yesterday too. Lots of ideas...

Great!  Thanks, Jim!

No need to get poison oak pics on my part - LOL!  I have seen far, far too much of it in my walking-the-mountains days. Could go the entire rest of my life without that particular plant!

But some enterprising soul might want to make a Vue Poison Oak plant. You never can tell - LOL!

Okay, 15 new photo textures posted (building walls, old cargo containers, brick paving, a hedge and its leaves, etc.).

Sorry Forester, was a bit breezy, so couldn't find many still leaves and had to catch these between breezes.

Have a backlog of finished texture photos to publish - so will do more pretty soon.
