I guess the problem is really mine. 1) I don't learn well from video, particularly if it's just point and click - people tend to move too fast and I lose track of what they are doing. And 2) I have a laptop that I'm watching this on - even going to full-screen mode, I see nothing but blur where I'm sure there are words.
I just hope some kind soul puts together some sort of basic instructions on how the thing works... I'm so impressed with Blender renders atm, totally beats anything Firefly can do, no contest.

I have the same problem as you with the Blenrig videos Robyn, I'll just be patient until one comes along that I can actually see. A downloadable tutorial would be better...

You guys need to actually change the resolution of the video itself, not just switch to full screen. In the bottom right of the YouTube player you'll see a few icons, click the one that looks like a "gear" and you'll get a pop up menu with different video resolutions on it. Default for YT is 360, which you won't be able to read, when you full screen it the video might change to 480 but that's still goign to be blurry. For somethig like a screen capped tutorial video you're probably going to want to use 720p. It'll take a lot longer to stream the video, but you can in fact read everything on the screen. The text still won't be perfect, but it'll certainly be readable at least [click the image to get an idea of how it'll look].
So far as video tutorials go, I generally don't do well with them myself. Simple ones that are just a matter of getting an overview of something are fine, but one you actually need to follow along with, I get lost on. I think you need a dual monitor set up for those, or a laptop/desktop, so you can have the video up on one screen, and work along on the other.

Thanks for that, warlock279 - I also save to higher resolution.
I'm starting - slowly - to reconcile myself to the video tutorial concept some, even if some of the voices of the people doing the tutes drive me crazy. If it's music, I can just mute it.

Does anyone have any idea how to make this work? I've tried to watch the videos, but the screen resolution is too tiny, so all the text in the video is blurred and I have no idea what's going on. Plus, there's no dialogue: it's all just lightning-fast pointing and clicking with the occasional guiding text which tells you just enough to have no idea how to get there or do this.
