Hello.I have a problem and i need your help.I picked a figure from poser library in poser 2010.Actually it s michael 3.I searched on the web and found some new skin and face textures for him and i tried to upload it to him.Everything went fine.I went to material and with the known way i transformed him. However the only part of him that does not change is the ...To be more specific,i click on material select button click on his eye and select the appropriate texture file from my folder but it does not change textures.I tried once i tried twice with no result.Today i noticed something  that i think i should tell you.In poser material room in simple tab you can see the material preview window. In this window the selected texture appears but when i click on his eye and then on the texture i want  there is a black thing all over it.DOes it really matter?

Check in the Pose folder and see if there are not some mat files there to load the character and texture into M3. That is how it is done most ogf the time... not in the material room.

For the most part, we do not use the simple Material Room setup.  The Advanced settings is the preference.

Now, from your account, what type of files are you trying to apply?  The descriptions are vague.  As basicwiz responded, if the files are mat files, commonly found under the Pose category of your library, it is not necessay to be in the Material Room.  However, that type of file might not be complete; certain textures may not be available for certain body zones.  Michael 3 eyes are composed of specific eye layers (cornea, iris, pupils, etc) and you should be selecting the correct textures corresponding to those particular layers.

If you can post a screencap of your MatRoom setup, we may get a better understanding of what is going on.
