Subject: Purchased SM Shiny and Natural: Orianne but no front strands

Hi,

I purchased your SM Shiny and Natural: Orianne but I don't see where I get the front strands hanging down the sides of the face or how to remove the bangs completely and how to put the band lower on the ponytail. It almost seems the Orianne display picture is different than the hair I purchased.

Attached is the hair I purchased (the blonde picture) and what I am getting when I render (dark hair).

Does anyone have experience with this hair?

Thank you.

Michael

My render of Orianne.

I haven't got this one I don't think, but I would look in the neck part of the hair, because that is usually where you can change things and the dials are for adjusting.  you might find a whole stack of useful morphs there.

Also you know when you render with GC that you should turn gamma to 1 for any of the grey scale textures like bump and transparency or the hair can look funny too.  (mind you not that funny)

Love esther

I think your problem is you are using the hair textures on thr wrong hair

the hair in your picture is Addition HairStyles

The Silky and Natural product looks like it is a set of textures for Orianne Hair also avialable at DAZ

Thank you, but where do I change the gamma settings?

But I purchased this one:

Now, I'm confused.

What you purchased was a set of TEXTURES for a hair product, evidently, you don't have.

In the requirements on the product page, it says Product Requirements: Poser 6+, Orianne Hair by Neftis3D (DAZ) (emphasis mine)

You can't apply Orianne textures to Addition Hair.  You must have Orianne Hair.

"Thank you, but where do I change the gamma settings?"

You don't mention which version of Poser you are running. If it is Poser Pro 2012, then easiest way (for me) to adjust gamma settings:

Scripts -> Partners -> Image gamma

Thanks basicwiz Poser 8.

@Glitterati3D: oh! That qualifies as a 'duh!' for me. Thanks.

LOL, Michaelab, been there, done that.  Welcome to the oh-so-confusing club of buying content!

Poser 8 does not do Gamma correction, so it's a moot point.
