Subject: What am I supposed to do with templates?

Some products have 'em, some don't. OK, but what do I do with them?

OS: Windows 10 64-bit, Poser: 10

You can make them with the free UV Mapper. Or Wings 3D or a few others that will save out the templates.

Online Now!

Templates are easy guides for texture creation in 3rd party programs like GIMP or Photoshop.  A courtesy by vendors if you are interested in modifying or creating content.

templates provided by the vendor can just be put in one place to keep them. They are the uv map for the item and useful for making your own textures. I put mine in poser/runtime/templates  so it gets backed up whenever i save the runtime. They can go anywhere since Poser does not use them directly.

For Daz items the template or seam guide is usually on the product page for download.

major tip with templates - always paint over the lines.

Airport security is a burden we must all shoulder. Do your part, and please grope yourself in advance.
